Summary

ClockWithUs is a free service supported by advertising. We use Google Analytics to understand how the site is used, and we display ads through Google AdSense and Adsterra. These third parties may use cookies and similar technologies to serve relevant ads and measure their performance. We do not sell your data. You can opt out of personalized advertising at any time using the links below.

Information we collect

We collect limited information directly:

  • Server logs: Like any website, our hosting provider records standard HTTP access logs (IP address, timestamp, requested URL, user agent, referrer). These are used for security, debugging, and abuse prevention, and are retained for a short period before deletion.
  • Local browser storage: We use your browser's localStorage to remember your theme preference (light or dark), your time format preference (12 or 24 hour), your recently-used alarm times, and your favorite alarm times. This stays on your device and is never transmitted to us.

Third-party services

Google Analytics. We use Google Analytics 4 to understand which pages are popular, how users navigate the site, and which features are being used. Google Analytics may set cookies (or use similar identifiers) on your device, and may collect information such as your IP address, browser type, operating system, pages visited, time spent, and the site you came from. This data helps us improve ClockWithUs. Google's privacy practices are described at policies.google.com/privacy. You can opt out of Google Analytics tracking by installing the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.

Google AdSense. ClockWithUs participates in the Google AdSense advertising program. Google, as a third-party vendor, uses cookies (including the DoubleClick DART cookie) to serve ads based on your prior visits to this and other websites. Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visit to ClockWithUs and other sites on the Internet. You may opt out of personalized advertising by visiting Google Ad Settings, or you can opt out of a third-party vendor's use of cookies for personalized advertising by visiting www.aboutads.info. Adsterra. We also use Adsterra as an advertising partner. This information may be used to deliver advertising on ClockWithUs and other websites that may be more relevant to your interests. Cookies and similar technologies

ClockWithUs itself does not set any first-party tracking cookies. However, the third-party services listed above (Google Analytics, Google AdSense, Adsterra) do set cookies on your device. These typically include:

  • Analytics cookies to understand how visitors interact with the site (e.g. _ga, _gid).
  • Advertising cookies to deliver and measure ads, including personalized ads based on your interests.

Children's privacy

ClockWithUs is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe we have inadvertently collected such information, please email contactus@clockwithus.com and we will delete it.

Data security

We take reasonable steps to protect the information transmitted to us, including using HTTPS encryption site-wide. However, no internet transmission is fully secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security of data transmitted over the internet.

Data sources and attribution

City names, coordinates, alternate names, populations, and time zones used in our world clock search are sourced from the GeoNames geographical database, licensed under the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International License (CC BY 4.0). The dataset has been filtered (to populated places with at least 15,000 inhabitants) and adapted to our search format. Time zone data is from the IANA Time Zone Database.

Changes to this policy

If we materially change this policy, we will update the "Last updated" date above and post a clear notice on the homepage for at least 14 days. Continued use of the site after a change constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
